Terms of Use and Pilot Terms
The terms for using the BuonaFama website and taking part in the free pilot.
About these terms
These terms apply to the BuonaFama website and to the use of BuonaFama during the pilot. By applying for the pilot, creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use BuonaFama for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for that business. BuonaFama is operated from Italy by its founder, Giuseppe A. Contact: info@buonafama.it.
The pilot
- The pilot is free and by invitation. We don't charge anything and don't ask for payment details.
- BuonaFama is still being built and tested: features may change, be paused or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable.
- The pilot lasts as long as we agree with you. Either of us can end it at any time, for any reason, by email.
- Prices shown on the website are planned prices for after the pilot. Nobody becomes a paying customer unless they sign up for a paid plan later, under separate terms.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve BuonaFama, without any obligation to you.
Your responsibilities
When you use BuonaFama for your business, you agree to:
- Contact only your own customers, people who bought from you or used your services, and only through channels they gave you and agreed to.
- Follow the review rules: ask all customers in the same way; never offer discounts, gifts or other rewards for reviews; never write, buy or ask others to write fake reviews; never ask for Yelp reviews; and follow the rules of Google, Tripadvisor and the other platforms, and the FTC Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials.
- Review what you publish. AI drafts can contain mistakes. You are responsible for the replies and posts published for your business, including automatic replies you choose to turn on.
- Keep your account secure and tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.
- Not upload sensitive information about your customers (for example health, financial or government ID information).
- Use the service lawfully: no spam, no harassment, no attempts to break or overload the service.
During the pilot, BuonaFama does not send text messages (SMS). If you send the review link to customers yourself, by text or otherwise, you are responsible for following the rules that apply to those messages.
Your customers' information
Information about your customers that you put into BuonaFama, or that comes from the platforms you connect, belongs to you. We process it only to provide the service to you, following your instructions and our Privacy Policy; we don't sell it and don't use it for our own marketing. You are responsible for having the right to collect it and to give it to us. When the pilot ends, or if you ask us, we delete it within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it. If you need a separate data processing agreement, ask us.
Third-party platforms
BuonaFama works with platforms such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Apple and Bing. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. Their names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe what BuonaFama works with. Each platform has its own rules and can change its features, remove reviews or limit access at any time; we are not responsible for what they do.
No guarantees of results
We work to help you get more genuine reviews and better visibility, but we can't guarantee any specific result: a number of reviews, a star rating, a position on Google or Maps, or a mention by an AI assistant. AI answers and search results change and are controlled by third parties.
Our content
The BuonaFama name, software, website, designs and articles belong to us. You may share links to our articles and quote short parts with credit. You keep all rights to your own content (your business information, photos, texts and replies), and you allow us to use it only to provide the service to you.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Because the pilot is free and the service is still being tested, BuonaFama is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law.
To the extent allowed by law, BuonaFama will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example lost profits, lost customers or damage to reputation), and our total liability for any claim related to the pilot is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or intentional misconduct.
Suspension and ending
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the service at risk. You can stop using BuonaFama and ask us to delete your account at any time.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer or data protection rules of the place where you live. We prefer to solve any problem by talking: please write to us first.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell account holders by email. If you keep using BuonaFama after a change, the new terms apply.
